Viva La Corset!

Whoever said a corset had to be worn in the bedroom? It is known that in today’s world, corsets are being designed more elaborate than ever. With that, women want to show them off. Although it is perfectly acceptable to show off your stunning corset, how on earth do you wear them?

Style One: Corset With Jeans

Yes! Jeans are wonderfully versatile and pairing them up with a corset is no exception. There are a few things you must consider when wearing a corset with jeans.

1. You want to make sure your jeans do not have a lot of embellishments on them. Jeans that are plain and contain 1 to 2 colors is the best option.
2. As a general rule, corsets that are worn as outerwear are usually best worn with a darker pair of jeans. This is true for both lighter corsets and darker corsets. The only real exceptions are often whites and Gold. If you have a gold color corset, it is acceptable and often very stunning to couple it with a white pair of jeans or capri’s.
3. Do not get jeans that are high in the waist. A corset usually comes to just above the hip area or completely surrounding the hip area. In any case, you want to wear jeans that are lower rise. High rise jeans will not provide a seamless transition and will make it look off balance.

The whole concept behind wearing a corset with jeans is to be comfortable and relaxed while still maintaining a hot sexy look. This combination is perfect for a night on the town! You can top off your outfit with a pair of stilettos to make it undeniably too hot to handle!

Style Two: Add A Skirt

You can add a skirt to the mix when you wear your corset out. It can be as formal or as casual as you like. Typically, a more formal approach would be a solid color such as black, brown or blue with a knee length or longer skirt made of a fine material such as taffeta.

You can make it more casual by pairing it with a shorter skirt made of a material that is lightweight and flowing.

Style Three: Take It To Work!

Most people would say “ya right!”, but I am serious. Depending on where you work, you could actually wear a corset to work. If you take a corset and put it together with a black pencil skirt (or any other color for that matter- as long as it matches!), and then add a blazer or jacket, you could really make your mark. A corset can not only be flattering to your figure, it can look very sophisticated as well.

These are just three simple ideas to get your mind going. Gone are the days where you have to keep your corset in the bedroom. Take it out of the closet, dust it off and revive it in a new style. It will be fun- who knows, you might even notice other women around you taking note. So what are you waiting for?
