Lailides is a company that I had the joy of coming across and wanted to share it with the readers of Lingerie Blog because I feel they cater to a very underserved niche. Moreover, the lingerie they produce for sizes AA-B is simply stunning. As you have seen overall on this site, I only speak of companies that I have confidence in and feel they have something special or unique to offer consumers in the lingerie market. Lailides is definitely one of those companies.
Lailides is a company that caters to small chested woman in cup sizes ranging from AA-B. Jennifer Shepard started her line of smaller sizes when she herself found it hard to find smaller sizes within any store. When she did find these sizes, they were either unflattering, did not fit properly or simply unattractive. In conjunction with my review of Pambra’s, I also wanted to conduct an interview with Pamela, the owner of Pambra’s The Original Bra Liner. As I corresponded with Pamela during this process, I have seen that not only did she create a fantastic product that is versatile for all women but she is just as amazing of a person and business owner. Take the time to read through this interview to get a better look at Pambra’s and how useful it really is. Any questions you may have could very well be answered in these questions that Pamela took the time to answer for me. If you have a little extra time, check out the site located at: http://www.pambras.com. Q: How did you come up with the idea of Pambras? A: It was a blessing actually. I told my husband, on a hot evening, I wished I could find a way to make money and still be home with the kids. I kissed him good night and BAM there was this idea in my head. I stayed up till 3 in the morning making notes as fast as they flooded my mind. Q: Any tips for those using Pambras or considering Pambras on inserting the liner under the wire to prevent excessive folding, etc? (How far up should the bottom of the liner come up to the underwire and such). A: The liner can be placed way up under the bra band or slightly coming out. It all depends on where she might need coverage. The best way to put on a Pambra’s is start with the stem (center piece) and then tuck each side piece under next. You can adjust the sides to what feels best for you. Q: Should powders or creams be used in conjunction with Pambras? A: Pambra’s is doctor tested and approved. There is no further need for creams, powders, or mini pads in the bra. Pambra’s can clear up a heat rash in a just a few days. Shower and place a fresh liner on each day. Q: Should women be concerned with lines showing under their garments when using Pambras? A: No never; Pambra’s are not seen through clothing. Our Original liners come in three colors (black, white, or beige) so they could chose a color to match their bra. Q: Perspiration under and between the breasts is something that every woman can relate to at one point or another. What level of absorption can a woman expect when wearing Pambras? Do they work well for women who work out? A: Yes, they work really well for women that work out. Pambra’s works in all types of situations and climates. Be sure to wear a properly fitting bra; one with no more than two fingers of pull away from the ribs. You can wear a Pambra’s all day without the need to change it. Each climate is different and therefore women respond differently. Some will sweat more or less. Wearing a Pambra’s will give you the comfort and help you feel dryer longer. Q: How Does Pambra’s extend the life of a bra? A: Changing into a fresh liner each day, keeps the bra from coming in contact with the skin, and your sweat. Over time, your sweat will discolor your bra. Ever had a really cute white bra and it only looked cute for a few wear and washes? If you wear a Pambra’s, your bra doesn’t need to be washed as often. Each time you wash your bra, the elastic breaks down, it stretches do to normal wash cycles. The more you wear Pambra’s, the less you wash that cute bra. Q: The Unilateral Bra Liner as well as the Bilateral Bra Liner is designed for women who have undergone surgery. How does this bra liner help? A: Oh wow, these are our special liners. These women struggle so much. Unfortunately, they have to deal with hormone changes that cause lots of sweating, or they sweat from prosthesis. There are ladies who don’t want to wear a pocketed bra. Pambra’s keeps the prosthesis from coming in contact with the skin. Because these women have so much scar tissue they often suffer in pain while wearing their bra. Pambra’s builds that barrier between their sensitive scars and the bra. Q: Nursing Pads are now available in your product lineup. Being they are a reusable product, roughly how many uses will a mother be able to get out of her package of nursing pads before they have to be replaced? A: Our liners last for years. Our Nursing pads are made from the same quality fabrics; we have simply doubled up our cotton lining for better absorption. We had one women call us after 8 years saying that she is still wearing her original liner. Our first response was, “one set of liners, after all that time?” She had purchased a package, only once, never replaced them, and was still wearing them. We were in shock! Q: How do your nursing pads differ from other nursing pads sold in stores? A: Pambra’s are slightly larger and thicker for better protection. They are also washable so they are going to last for years. We thought long and hard about how to create these. After feedback from several moms, we realized that the traditional nursing pads weren’t large enough and didn’t absorb as much as the moms had hoped. By creating nursing pads that were larger and more absorbent, we’ve solved the problem. Like our regular liners, these are also undetectable when worn. Q: When speaking of Pambras material, is there any part of the material that could cause an allergic reaction? A: Our fabric is a blend of 65% cotton and 35% polyester. Pambra’s has that small amount of polyester to help moisture from returning on to the skin. Everyone knows cotton alone will get wet and stay wet, and yet too much polyester doesn’t absorb. We feel this is a perfect blend. This blend also allows the liners to feel dry, but cool to the touch. Q: Besides online, is your product sold in any local stores? If so, how do I locate them? A: Pambra’s are now sold in 29 States. We have a listing on our web site for customers to choose from. They can choose a store in their state or an on-line company that suits them. For state listings, they can either type in their zip code to find a location nearest them, or they can view their state’s listings. We are always expanding, and hope to have all of the U.S. covered within the next year. Q: I noticed that you are involved in The Sisters Study. Why do you feel this program is important and what can it offer those involved with breast cancer? A: The sister study is very dear to me. After caring for and watching my sister die of breast cancer, I wanted to do something more. Not only did I design the mastectomy liners but I also sought out the sister study. The study is looking to correlate our childhood events, surrounding living areas, and products we use as a possible link for cancer. There is a 10 year commitment on my part to be part of the study.. Q: Your product is unique and very helpful to women who deal with perspiration daily as well as those that have undergone breast surgeries. Is there any other important information that you feel would be helpful to our readers? A: At Pambra’s, we feel all women could be a potential Pambra’s user. If she works out, she is pregnant, she is plus size, she’s had any type of breast augmentation, if the elastic in her bra irritates her, or that cute little under wire she bought isn’t so cute anymore because it hurts so much she can’t wear it, Pambra’s is perfect for her. Pambra’s is very proud to be made in the U.S.A. With so many companies going overseas, we feel it is important to keep our economy going but providing those jobs that keep disappearing. We are also a Woman Owned company. Women everywhere are out in the work force; we love to see them rise to the top. Read More |
