Open means just that- it is open cuts on the lingerie. You will also see this type of lingerie referred to as “peek-a-boo lingerie” as well. Often times they will be tied 

with bows on the cups if referred to as peek-a-boo style. The traditional open cup has just a frame around the breasts and the breasts are completely exposed, leaving nothing to the imagination. Open crotch is just the same; there is a slit that remains open on the crotch area or in some cases, it will just have a frame of the panties as well.
